The University of Bristol is delighted to announce ten International Office Scholarships for new international students for 2015. Details of the scholarships are given below:
Any Undergraduate or Taught Masters Degree programme offered at the University

To apply for the scholarships, please click here. All applicants are required to answer the following question: "Why do you think it is important for a university to have students from around the world?"
(max. 350 words).
Deadline for the application
The scholarship application deadline is Friday 12th June, 2015 (17h00 UK time) and successful applicants will be informed of the outcome in July 2015. Course starts September 2015

2015 Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships
The Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships support candidates to study Master’s degree courses that are either offered in partnership with universities in developing countries, or delivered directly by UK institutions. A list of eligible courses offered by participating UK institutions for 2015 Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships is available on the official website.
Eligibility:To be eligible for a Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship, you must:
• be a citizen of a developing Commonwealth country, refugee, or British protected person
• be permanently resident in a developing Commonwealth country
• normally hold a first degree of upper second-class standard, or higher qualification. In certain cases, we will consider a lower qualification and sufficient relevant experience.
Note: You must also meet the specific eligibility requirements of the course you are interested in.

Full details of the application process must be obtained from your chosen university. To apply for a scholarship, you must complete your application for a Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship using the Electronic Application System (EAS). The deadline for applications is 15 May 2015.

- Five scholarships of £8,500 each will be available for prospective undergraduate students.This is divided as follows: £3,000 in Year One, £3,000 in Year Two and £2,500 in Year Three. No awards will be made for subsequent years.
- Five scholarships of £8,500 each will be available for prospective one year taught Masters students.
- All applicants must be classed as international students for fee purposes. All applicants must already hold an offer of a place on a full-time undergraduate or taught masters programme at the University of Bristol.
- Applicants may be from any discipline.
- Sponsored students and students in receipt of another scholarship/award over £3,000 are not eligible to apply.
- Current University of Bristol students are not eligible to apply.
